Just one week left to turn in your entries for our Animal Picture Show!  The opening for the show will be on saturday, 9/5/09 (Gallery Hop Night) at 7pm.

Check us out on Saturday at 2pm; we’ll be demonstrating tools and techniques for cutting mats and mounting artwork.  Stick around after the demo and take advantage of great deals on all the tools and products you’ll need to do it yourself!

It’s almost time for our next monthly show!  We will start accepting entries on August 15th, and our opening reception will again coincide with Gallery Hop night which is September 5th.

Just a friendly reminder to all of you who participated in our Mid-Summer Art Show - you can retrieve your entries anytime between now and the 14th.  Our next show will be starting the 15th.

Do you ever wish you could paint on linen but are intimidated by the price?  Well here’s your chance!  Utrecht is proud to announce the addition of Artist Linen to our assortment of stretched canvas!  We now carry 12 different sizes of stretched linen at very affordable prices!

We have expanded our line of Studio Series Stretched Canvas to include 4 new square sizes, from 8″x 8″ to 20″x 20″.  We also have Studio Series “twin packs” in 6″x 8″, 8″x 10″, 9″x 12″, 11″x 14″, and 14″x 18″.  Our Studio Series Stretched Canvas is our most economical line of stretched canvas and features a triple acrylic primed 100% cotton duck canvas with a moderate tooth which is side-stapled to 3/4″ wood stretchers.  It is an excellent choice for high volume classroom use.

Thanks to everyone who came out to see the show Saturday night!  If you didn’t make it out, don’t worry - the artwork will hang until the 14th.  We’ll be starting our next show on the 15th.  Details to follow.
