We have recently joined forces with other shops in the Short North district to form Shop Short North, an information blog on Blogspot to help keep everyone informed about all things Short North. Check it out when planning your next visit to see us. It is surprising to see all the things you didn’t know were here.

If monitoring blog posts isn’t fast paced enough, we have also opened an account on Twitter, a new social networking site that combines the networking of MySpace/Facebook with the speed of text messaging and IM. Look us up under UtrechtColumbus. We need all the “followers” we can get.

The Groveport Arts Festival being held on Memorial Day weekend is now accepting applications for its juried competition.  Please stop by their website for the application, www.GroveportArtsFestival.org.

They are especially looking for Ohio artists and talent from college age students as well.  Have a look!!

We are fortunate in Columbus to have the Andy Warhol exhibit at the Wexner Center for the Arts.  If you haven’t seen this amazing show yet, you still have just over a month.  It ends February 15th, and is well worth venturing out in the cold for.

Our store is only a couple of miles from the Wexner Center, so if you’re feeling inspired after you see the exhibit, stop in and take advantage of our winter Back to School sale.  You don’t have to be a student to take advantage of great prices on things like paint, canvas, brushes, and many other items.

It’s that time of year again–time to snap out of holiday season and get to work!

For Back To School this week we are extending our hours for the days of Wednesday Jan 7th thru Saturday Jan 10th, and we’ll be open 9am to 9pm those days.

Every other day has regular hours, open 9am - 8pm through the week, and 12 - 5pm on Sundays.

Our Winter BTS Sale has also started, so you can save a bunch on almost all the beginning drawing supplies you need, and large tubes of Utrecht oil and acrylic paint are also on sale.
