As the summertime approaches, we have begun the planning of weekly, free, product demos.  We have yet to set dates but will post them here as soon as they are determined. 

 We have employees with expertise in oil painting, acrylic painting, paper, watercolors, printmaking, mat cutting, framing, book binding, sculpture techniques, canvas stretching, and those are just a few of the intended demos along with some more specialized, concentrated ones such as oil mediums, block printing, stationary, and stone carving.

I just wanted to give a heads-up on the various mediums we will be demo-ing and ask for any input, suggestions, or requests on what you, our readers/customers want to learn more about?

We have two new products in the store.

The first is a line of Utrecht brand linenboards called Master’s Panels.  These are hand oil-primed, Belgian linen archivally mounted on hardboard.  They come is a range of sizes from 5″x7″ to 18″x24″ and are oil painting only.  They offer a great alternative to working on wooden panels if you like the hard, no-give, surface of panel but the texture of stretched canvas.

 The second line is a line of wooden panels called “Baroque Artist panels.”  They come in smaller sizes and also a variety of squares for those of us who prefer something a little different than the traditional rectangle.  They are unprimed so you should pick up a gesso or other sizing/priming product as well.
